Rasslin Round-Up: 3rd – 10th July

Well, we’re running out of things to cover in the run up to the draft, with matches being thrown together and uninspired. However, we’ve still got to go over it, so here’s the Sunday round-up!

  • We opened with a food fight, wherein the best part was Kevin Owens hiding under the table with a bag of potato chips
  • Rusev vs. Titus O’Neil for the United States Championship – Rusev retained with more gret heel booking as he won on the 4th of July!
  • The Social Outcasts vs. Enzo and Cass – the Outcasts were proven SAWFT
  • Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz – Dean took the win
  • Seth Rollins vs. Dolph Ziggler – Seth looked strong against a renewed Dolph took a well-fought win, though Dean came in at the end and took him down
  • The Vaudevillains vs. The Golden Truth – Goldust and R-Truth take the win
  • Summer Rae vs. Becky Lynch – Summer tapped out to Becky
  • Team USA vs. Team The World – a 16 man elimination match on America Day, so of course team USA won, with Big Show and Zack Ryder being the two left in the ring when it came down to it

  • Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss – Bayley won, but was challenged by Nia Jax straight after
  • Blake & Murphy vs. The Hype Bros – Rhyno showed up and flattened everyone except Murphy
  • The Revival vs. American Alpha – a two out of three falls match for the NXT tag titles, The Revivial retained

  • Jey Uso vs. Seth Rollins –  Seth won, even with Dean Ambrose as guest ring announcer
  • Zack Ryder vs. Sheamus –  Zack took the win, fresh off his USA win on Monday
  • Becky Lynch came out for match but got destroyed by Natalya on the ramp before any match could take place
  • AJ Styles vs. Enzo Amore – hype for a Battleground match, with The Club vs. John Cena and pals, AJ won
  • The Miz vs. Kalisto – upset about the food fight on Monday, The Miz won, defenfing the honour of his wife’s dress
  • Sami Zayn vs. Chris Jericho – the great heel Jericho lost, putting Sami even more over

  • Brock Lesnar’s Summerslam opponent has been announced, and it’ll be a returning Randy Orton. Interesting choice, considering it’s not like Orton has had any build up and been made to look strong yet. Weird
  • More Lesnar news as he won at UFC 200 over Mark Hunt
  • Mauro Ranallo and Daniel Bryan got us started with CWC with Bracketology, a discussion of the brackets for the Cruiserweight Classic, which starts on July 13th
  • Roman Reigns still appear to be in the main event match at Battleground, despite his suspension meaning he’ll have no feud build leading up to it
