Rasslin Round-Up: 5th – 12th June ’16

Welcome to the Sunday Round-Up! A lot of action in the ring this week, not so much behind the scenes. Well, not every week can have everything!

Chris Jericho vs. Cesaro – Cesaro wins by submission with the Sharpshooter.

Rusev vs. Jack Swagger – Rusev wins by count-out.

The Vaudevillains vs. Enzo Amore & Big Cass – Vaudevillains win by disqualification, as Big Cass loses it and beats on Simon Gotch aggressively in the corner.

Sami Zayn vs. Alberto del Rio – Alberto del Rio wins by pinfall.

Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens – Dean Ambrose wins by pinfall.

Tyler Breeze vs. R-Truth – no contest, as Goldust and Fandango get involved. I think the real winners here are those fans who really enjoyed the back-shaving segment in the lead-in.

The New Day vs. AJ Styles & The Club – AJ and the Club are victorious over the New Day.

NXT TakeOver – The End

Andrade Almas vs. Tye Dillinger – Andrande wins by pinfall.

American Alpha vs. The Revival – the Revival takes the win and the championship.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Austin Aries  – Shinsuke Nakamura wins by pinfall.

Asuka vs. Nia Jax – Asuka retains, winning by pinfall.

Samoa Joe vs. Finn Bálor – Samoa Joe retains his title via pinfall.

The Club vs. Enzo Amore & Big Cass – no contest, as the Vaudevillains and the New Day interfere.

Cesaro & Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens & Alberto del Rio – del Rio and Owens win, Owens pinning Cesaro.

Becky Lynch vs. Dana Brooke – Becky Lynch wins by submission with the Dis-arm-her.

Baron Corbin vs. Kalisto – Baron Corbin wins, but I wonder if Dolph Ziggler is the real winner.

Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho – Jericho wins by a fairly clean pinfall, with just a trace of shenanigans.

Other News

Andrade Almas made his NXT debut at TakeOver. Former TNA champion Bobby Roode also appeared on the program, having a sneaky meeting with William Regal, sparking speculation that he may be making an appearance with the NXT brand soon. This appears to have become a reality, with Roode wrestling at the NXT Download Festival in the UK.

Seth Rollins made no appearances on the wrestling shows this week, but he has been busy on Instagram, with pictures of his cute kitten Darrell.

Bray Wyatt has been ostensibly cleared for return from his calf injury, possibly in time for Money in the Bank.
