Seth Rollins made his return to WWE programming on Sunday 22nd May, as has cut promos on both Raw and SmackDown during the week, though has yet to wrestle an active match – that pedigree on a shattered Roman Reigns at Extreme Rules doesn’t count.
Adam Rose has officially been released over the domestic violence and possible felony charges, though the charges have been dropped after a heartfelt plea from his wife. Hopefully he can get his family life sorted out, and his wife can feel safe in her own home.
Cody Rhodes asked for and was granted his release from WWE, and has left the company, along with his wife Brandi, aka ring announcer Eden Styles, after commenting that he felt he was underused, and wanted to go somewhere his abilities would be respected. This is looking like a slippery slope for WWE, losing great guys because they don’t use them properly – and a legend’s son being the one to leave just points at the weaknesses the company have been showing for a while now
WWE announced that SmackDown will be moving to a live show on a Tuesday night, and that there will be a brand split once more – the roster reveal is touted for July 11th on Raw. So far the discussions say that the women’s roster could be exclusive to one show, that Shane is more likely to SmackDown and Stephanie take Raw, that the IC title will be on one show and the US title the other – AND that they might consider bringing back a second big title so each roster could have one.
John Cena will make his return to WWE programming on Monday 30th May.
